Rules of The Droniada 2019 competition

This document is subject to change. The most recent version can be found in the “Droniada” section at www.5zywiolow.pl (alias: www.droniada.eu). Registered teams will also be notified of any changes via e-mail and by posts on the “Droniada – Teams” closed group on Facebook: bit.ly/fbdroniada.
Please note that the terms “unmanned aerial vehicle” (“UAV”), “unmanned aerial system” (“UAS”) and, above all, “drone” are used interchangeably, with emphasis on the last term in line with general usage.

Our priority is to ensure the safety of the competitors (teams) and spectators (participants) during all events. The competitors are required to comply strictly with these Rules, including instructions issued by the Organizers and their appointed Air Boss. The above also applies to spectators.
The Organizers trust that the competitors will act in the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship, respecting the safety of all participants. However, if a competitor repeatedly violates these Rules, including without limitation safety provisions, the Organizers and their appointed judges will have the right to disqualify the competitor and instruct him/her to leave the competition grounds immediately. The same requirements apply to spectators.

The competition is not subject to the provision of the Mass Event Safety Act of March 20, 2009 due to the planned number of participants and the limited accessibility of the Silesian Aeroclub grounds to the general public. However, the Organizers declare that they will follow the provisions of the Act in the organization of the competition in order to improve safety.
The Organizers would like to encourage readers to report any logical inconsistencies, errors and omissions in these Rules.
